Vinaigrette
Ingredients
  • 1Part Something Acidiclike lemon juice or vinegar (but not balsamic vinegar — use less of that)
  • 2Parts Oilfrom EVOO to canola (but not sesame oil — it’s only for flavoring)
  • 1Pinch Salt and pepper
  • Additional flavoring elements of choice
Instructions
  1. Put everything in a little closed container and shake the dickens out of it. The mustard will allow the oil and vinegar to combine into an emulsion, which means your dressing won’t separate back into oil and vinegar for a while.
  2. Allow some time for flavors to meld. Shake again before dressing whatever you’re dressing.
