Heavy syrup, flavored with lemons, is great for flavoring beverages, or drizzling on warm cake, fresh berries, or ice cream.

Ingredients
- 2 Cup White Sugar
- 1 Cup Water
- 2-4 Lemons Zested and Juiced
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat the water and sugar, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Add the lemon zest to the hot syrup. Cover and steep for 30 minutes.
- Add the lemon juice, stirring to combine.
- Strain into a bottle or covered container.
- Refrigerate for up to 2 months.
- Use syrup to taste to flavor beverages.
- Syrup can also be drizzled over hot loaf or sheet cake for additional flavor.
