This can be stored frozen for about 2 months, so if you make the big batch and have the room in your freezer, it’s great to have on hand.  If your freezer is the size of a lunch box, make the smaller batch.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cup Mashed Potatoes
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • Chives or parsley For garnish
  • 1 pound Ground beef (or lean ground lamb), seasoned with a little salt and pepper
  • 1 tbs Water
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1-2 tbs Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup Finely chopped onion (I had shallots, so that's what I used)
  • 1 cup Finely chopped mushrooms any kind
  • 1 Cloves of garlic
  • 1.5 tsp Tsp Tomato paste
  • 1 tbs Rice flour or regular
  • 3/4 cup Beef broth
  • 1 tbs Soy Sauce
  • 1.5 tbs Worchestershire Sauce
  • 1 Carrot Diced Small
  • 1 tbs Rice flour or cornstarch made into a thin paste with water
