Ingredients
  • 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Mirin or dry sherry
  • 2 Tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar or Saki
  • 1 Tbsp Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1 Clove Garlic, finely chopped or 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Slices Fresh Ginger, chopped or 1/4 tsp ground ginger
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, and simmer until volume is reduced by 1/2. If time permits, allow to sit for 15 minutes to extract flavors before straining to remove solids.
  2. This recipe is designed for a single serving. It can be multiplied easily. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator, or frozen.
